Nemrut Crater Trekking + Mount Ararat

Day 1: We meet at the airport, then transfer to our hotel.

Day 2: After having breakfast, we will go to visit Van old castle and Akdamar Church, later, we will transfer to Nemrut Crater and spend the night there in tents.

Day 3: In the morning we start to climb Nemrut Crater (6-7 hours). After reaching the top, we go back to our camp, rest for an hour and then go to visit the Muradiye waterfalls, head on to Doğubeyazıt city and stay the night there at a hotel.

Day 4: Doğubeyazıt – We will have a cultural tour and visit İshak Pasa Palace, Noha’s Ark, Iran border, then have lunch at Mt Ararat (at my family village), enjoy a turkish bath and stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 5: Mt.Ararat – We will head to Eli village (2200 masl) and from there, we will start to climb up to 3200 masl (5-6 hrs). Stay the night there in tents.

Day 6: After breakfast, we start acclimatization. We will climb up to 4200 masl (5-6 hours) then go back down to 3200 masl. Sleep there in tents.

Day 7: After breakfast, we start climbing up to 4200m (5-6 hours). Sleep there in tents.

Day 8: Summit Day (5137 masl) – At 1 am we wake up and have an early breakfast. At 2 am we start climbing to the summit. We will have 10-15 minutes to take picturs and then we’ll come back down to 4200 masl. We will rest there for an hour and then, go back down to 3200 masl. Sleep there in tents.

Day 9: We will return to 2200 masl, where we’ll meet our driver, who will take us back to our hotel in Doğubeyazıt. We’ll have one hour to rest, and then we will to go kaplıcılar natural hotsprings to swim for an hour and have a nice picnic. Later, we’ll go back to our hotel and spend there the night.

Day 10: After breakfast, we’ll go to Van Airport, and back to Istanbul.
