Mount Damavand Volcano (5671 masl), the highest peak in Iran –
7 Days tour program.
Day 1
We’ll meet at the international airport in Tehran (IKA airport)
Day 2
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will start our trekking tour. We will drive to Polour village to fix our permits and change car to 4x4s, and drive to campsite, located at 3200 masl. Overnight at mountain sheler or tents (driving from Tehran to Polour village usually takes 2,5 – 3 hours).
Day 3
After an early breakfast, we prepare our luggage for horses/mules to carry it up to 4200 masl. Afterwards we will start trekking to second camp site at 4200 meters. Overnight in shelter or tents (trekking from Camp 1 to Camp 2 takes usually 4-5 hours).
Day 4
Acclimatization day on Mount Damavand. After breakfast we start trekking to 5000 meters and descend to our camp site at 4200 meters. Overnight at camp 2.
Day 5
Very early in the morning (usually 3-4 a.m, depends on weather condition) we will start trekking to the summit of Mount Damavand. Trekking from second camp to summit usually takes 5-7 hours. After reaching summit and having a short break for taking photos, we will descend to Camp 2 (4200 masl). Overnight there.
Day 6
After an early breakfast we descend to Polour village. On the way, we’ll have a short stop at the Hot Springs where we can take a bath and rest a bit. We arrive to Polour and drive to Tehran. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7
We head for the hotel. After check-in at the hotel we will have amcity tour in Tehran city centre.
First, we visit Golestan palace. Then, we visit the famous Grand Bazaar of Tehran and the Cavahat Museum. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8
Transfer from the hotel to IKA airport. End of tour.
